Now 40 years later I found myself wanting to learn how to play better, as I haven't been playing  and subsequently forgotten the notes and basically how to play. I had been taught to 'perform' pieces and now I want to learn how to sight read so I can play for a church and personal enjoyment. I feel fortunate to have found George as my piano teacher because he's not only down to earth and personable, but he tailors his teaching method to each student's individual needs. There have been many times I thought that I would never be able to learn how to play the piano again. However, George is there with encouragement letting me know that I'm better than I think and I have potential. After just a few months, I noticed that my playing abilities have improved significantly. His philosophy is to work on mastering a technique before working on speed. He doesn't put a time limit on learning a piece but keeps you focused as you learn the piece or technique more fluently. If there is a specific song you want to learn, he will do his best to find a suitable score for your level of experience. He knows you will 'practice' (George refers to practicing as training) if you like the song, as opposed to an older person such as myself, learning childrens songs. I look forward to my piano lesson every week."
